The VBA runs two grant-funded programs which pay lawyers to represent disadvantaged clients.

Victims of Crime Act Project:The VBA has a federal VOCA grant to pay you $60/hour for up to 10 hours assisting clients in legal matters relating to their victimization.Cases include custody and divorce, partition actions, assisting with evictions, collections defense, estate planning, and much more.

County Low Bono Projects:The Vermont Bar Foundation funds low bono projects throughout Vermont.You can receive $60 an hour for 3-6 hours helping low income clients in landlord/tenant, foreclosure, collections defense, child support contempt defense, post adoption contact agreements and adult involuntary guardianship cases.Training programs for free CLE credits are available through the VBA.
